What is Qatar eTA and Qatar Tourist Visa?
An Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) grants permission for traveling to and entering Qatar for tourism or family visits and should not be confused with a work visa. Those who do not qualify for visa-free entry but possess a valid residence permit or visitor visa for Schengen countries, Australia, Canada, the UK, the USA, or New Zealand can acquire an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) by submitting an online application before their intended travel.
The Qatar e-Visa, also known as a Qatar visit visa or Qatar tourist visa is a digital visa that enables individuals who wish to travel to Qatar and are not eligible for Qatar ETA. Depending on your nationality, place of residence, or visa status, you may be eligible for a tourist visa or ETA.
The e-Visa for Qatar was introduced by the Qatari government on June 23, 2017, with the aim of simplifying the process of obtaining entry permission to the country. Travelers who meet the necessary criteria have the option to apply for this visa type via Qatar Immigration Services. Specifically for tourism, visitors are permitted to stay in Qatar for a maximum of 30 days using a Qatar e-Visa. Furthermore, the Qatar e-Visa is only valid for a single entrance, so you need to reapply if you want to visit Qatar again.
